Materials & Process
1
Our workshops are 2–3 hours long and are held at various locations in Manchester & Winhall Vermont. During the workshop, you’ll work with a high-quality mid-range stoneware clay to create your pieces using hand-building techniques. To ensure your creations are durable, food safe, and suitable for the dishwasher and microwave, we follow a two-step kiln firing process. Once your items are formed, the instructor will take them to our studio to dry slowly and thoroughly, this careful drying process helps prevent cracking or breaking. The pieces are then bisque fired in a kiln. After the initial firing, they’ll be ready for glazing and a final firing. Once completed, your finished pieces will be ready to take home and enjoy!
